They say April showers bring May flowers, but we have sunny skies here today and the first signs of spring are popping up all over the yard. The tulips and apple blossoms are especially pretty now. We had a very happy Easter morning. Chris got a little basket from the Easter bunny with candy, toys and office supplies (the Easter bunny was very sensible) and I got the cutest little coral and pink spring flats and a yummy pineapple. We hard boiled some eggs and then had a feast of ham with brown sugar butter glaze, scalloped potatoes and broccoli with an aged white cheddar sauce, adapted from a favorite recipe from Chris' Mom. We really miss our families but are so happy to be celebrating spring and new life today!
