*A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2013.*
Matteo:
You have become such a good little helper these last few weeks. Wherever there is a chore to be done, you suddenly appear: helping mama sweep the floor by seizing the broom and pushing it back and forth over the same (obviously very dirty) spot; helping papa water the garden by swooping up the hose and letting it run wild as you attempt to drink from the spout; helping Una eat her dinner by throwing handfuls of dog food at her bowl; helping to vacuum the living room by emptying the dust-filled filter onto the carpet (you wouldn't want it to get clogged!); helping to clean out the fridge by taking everything out and giving it a new (and obviously much better) home on the floor. I also caught you scrubbing the floor with a (dirty) rag, to help mama wipe up a big spill (which, obviously, you love to make so that you can help clean them up). Sometimes all this "help" makes a little (or a lot of) extra work for us, but watching your developing interest in teamwork and cooperation makes it completely worthwhile. You are a sweet boy, Matteo, and I hope you'll always be our little helper.
Love this post and the picture! I'm doing a praise project for my child as well. It keeps me positive and sane during trying times. :)
