Matteo: This week we took you to your first theater production of The Nutcracker.  I hope it will become a yearly tradition!  There's something pretty magical about attending a performance with dancing princes, fairies, flowers and mice, for which even the audience members dress up in their glittery best (oh, how I envy those tutus and wish we could both wear one, too!)  You were actually much more tolerant of it all than we expected.  There was a little squirming after about 30 minutes, and it seemed like you might run out on the stage if we let you, but there was no yelling, or crying, or general tantrum throwing of any kind.  I was very proud of you!  On our way back to the car, we had you pose against this wall.  You've become quite obliging with posing for photographs, leaning against the wall and holding your position while we clap and make a big fuss.  You are always very pleased with yourself, too...and completely adorable.
