*A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2014.* 

   

Matteo: Your concentration with books and simple puzzles seems to double every day.  I love how you scoot your way into my lap after pushing a carefully selected book-of-choice into my hand.  Your vocabulary is also expanding quickly, although a few words sound suspiciously identical (water = 'wawa' and flower = 'wawa').  The word of the day today was yogurt ('yaga' or 'yagaga'), which you were very proud of yourself for saying (loudly and repeatedly) upon mamma's request.
