*A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2013.*

Matteo: Whenever we go to a big store, like Target, you completely take over the place.  You love to totter around, pulling toys off of shelves and leaving them, sadly abandoned, in the aisles.  You run up to strangers and wave furiously until they say hello.  You "help" me shop by navigating the aisles while precariously half-standing, half-sitting in the cart.  Somehow you make all this chaos and confusion look charming.  I think it's the total dedication to fun that is so obviously your mission in life at this moment.

Images, from top to bottom: (1) Considering an upgrade. (2) "Sit down, please!" followed by a little shout of delight and an umpteenth attempt to stand up. (3) You love to answer the "phone."  You pretend to answer everything, from mama's i-phone to cookies to your toothbrush.  In this photo, someone's phone was ringing in the next aisle, so you very considerately answered it for them with your hand.
