41/52

*A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2014.*

Matteo: You love playing in front of the house.  You like to careen your bike down the driveway, drive your cars on the neighbor's trailer and drag your toys around in the rocks and dirt.  Every time we go out front, you carry basket after basket of toys out of the house, ambitiously hoping to see them all spread out on the porch.  You run around with your toys, smiling, jumping and talking happily the entire time.  When it's time to go back inside to get dinner started, you throw a huge tantrum.  The allure of the front yard is just too much for you, so you stand at the door saying longingly over and over: "I want to go out back!"  (You still confuse "front" and "back" sometimes.)  If the front of the house brings you this much joy, I can't wait to take you to Disneyland.
