 *A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2014.*

Matteo:  Lately, I've been finding little collections of cars and animals lined up in rows around the house.  "Let's play am-im-als!" or "Let's play pee-ple!" you suggest, before turning over the entire basket of figurines on the living room rug.  You carefully stand them up, one by one, telling me "here's a dog; here's a horse; here's big bird; here's a trac-tor!" beaming at me with the confidence and pleasure that often accompanies a two-year old's play.  This game of naming, sorting and display seems like a good foundation for a lifelong love of collecting.
