37/52

*A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2016*

Matteo: Your friend, Snowball the bunny, has been going everywhere with you lately.  You've grown more attached to him than to any other stuffed animal before.  He has been joining us at the dinner table, at the grocery store and in the garden for tomato harvesting.  He has really long soft ears and a lot of personality in his big blue eyes.  I always hoped you would bond with a stuffed animal, but you haven't been overly interested before now.  I'm excited to see how this new phase develops.  "Don't forget to give Snowball a snack, Mama!" you said yesterday afternoon.  Don't worry, I'll make sure Snowball is well fed on carrots and kisses, just like you.

Lilah: Only one week until those little hands and feet turn ONE.  You love to dig around in the dirt and pull petals off of the bright orange marigolds in our garden.  You are looking more and more like a big girl, especially with those itty bitty pigtails I made you wear.
